Applications
How applying works.
One form, when a cohort opens. The financial assistance question is part of it, so nobody has to ask separately or be seen to ask.
No cohort is open at the moment, so there is nothing to apply to today and we would rather say so than leave a form running that goes nowhere.
Leave your address below and we will tell you the day applications open. Everything further down this page is what the application will ask, so nothing about it is a surprise when it does.
What we teach
What applications are for.
Looking for a club rather than a course? Clubs are arranged with your school, not applied for individually. Find a club.
The application
One form, one decision. There is no separate assistance application.
What we will ask you.
- Who you are
- Name, email, where you are, and where you studied or are studying.
- Why this
- A short written answer. We are reading for how you think and whether you finish things, not for polish.
- Your circumstances
- What you can afford, in the same form. This sets your fee, and it is seen only by the people setting fees, never by mentors or other students.
- What we do not ask
- Prior coding experience is not required for CS7 and there is no entrance exam. The only hard prerequisite is A-Level Mathematics or equivalent.
Paying for it
Nobody is turned away for inability to pay. The application comes first, the money afterwards.
Fees scale to what a household can afford. Paying more, where a family can, directly funds a place for someone who cannot.
Assessed on household circumstances. Figures are a percentage of the published course fee.
The waiting list
Tell me when applications open.
One email, when there is a cohort to apply to. No newsletter unless you ask for one, and you can leave at any time.
Ready
Bring the work ethic.
We will sort out the rest, including the fee. Put your name down and you will know the day applications open.
